Dr Frances graduated from University of Birmingham (UK), subsequently working in a number of specialities in the UK to complete her core medical training. She has completed her East African Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene in affiliation with The London School of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene.
She first visited Tanzania as a medical student and fell in love with the country. After graduating, she spent a year working as a volunteer doctor in Muheza, Tanzania before completing her further medical training in the UK. Having worked at London Health Centre since 2016 and having also had much previous experience in infectious diseases, she is competent at dealing with the array of medical problems that she faces and has gained a good grasp of swahili.
She is a keen runner, enjoys hiking and when time allows between looking after her two young daughters, she loves to bake.
